Payroll Administrator (Permanent appointment, office based role)

On behalf of my Client I am recruiting for an experienced Payroll professional. This position is responsible and accountable for processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with company policies, collective agreements, and government legislation.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Accounting preferred.

  • A minimum of five years of experience with primary responsibility for time and attendance and payroll administration.

  • A minimum of three years of experience supporting finance and accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting.

  • Previous work experience in a unionized environment would be an asset.

  • Experience working with Blue Bison is a plus.

Director - Analytics & Modeling   (Permanent appointment, office based role)

Headquartered in Bermuda, my Client is a reinsurer of credit risk and holds a Class 3B insurance license issued from the Bermuda Monetary Authority. Due to growth they invite applications for this newly created role to actively assist with the management of the modeling and databases used in managing and underwriting of structured mortgage exposures. The Director - Analytics & Modeling role requires a modeler and database manager with a strong structured finance background.

 

The successful candidate will have current knowledge of and proven experience in each of the following areas:

  • Advanced financial modeling experience and expertise in creating and managing complex financial projects/transactions.

  • Database management and maintenance of large quantities of data used in underwriting and surveilling mortgage and/or consumer risk portfolios.

  • Experience in rating agency capital models, methodologies and regulatory capital requirements for financial and/or mortgage (re)insurance companies.

 

In addition to these skills and experience the preferred candidate will have:

  • An actuarial qualification or post graduate in mathematics or statistics.

  • Demonstrable prior experience working with a financial or mortgage (re)insurer or in the financial markets.

  • Advanced skills using MS Excel, VBA, SAS and SQL applications.
