Pricing Actuary, Casualty Reinsurance - (Permanent appointment) 

 

On behalf of my Client I invite interest for this newly created Bermuda based position. Reporting to the Chief Actuary based on island, the key duties and responsibilities will include:
 

  • Performing reinsurance treaty pricing analysis for US and International Casualty Reinsurance. Pricing analysis
    for other classes as needed (E.g. Specialty and Property reinsurance).

  • Developing, enhancing and maintaining actuarial models.

  • Industry and market benchmarking analyses.

  • Managing the casualty database and pricing assumptions.

  • Involvement in a wide variety of actuarial projects – principally in pricing to improve workflow, data capture
    and refine existing and create new methodologies.

  • Assisting the actuarial and finance team with reserving and reporting tasks as needed.

  • Presenting and discussing analysis with underwriters and management.

Portfolio Management Software Developer - (Permanent appointment) 

 

On behalf of my Client I invite interest for this newly created Bermuda based position. Reporting to the Senior Developer & Technical Lead based on island, this position will collaborate closely with modelers and underwriters to understand their requirements and translate them into effective portfolio management tools.


The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant field.

  • Reinsurance industry experience working as a Full Stack developer would be advantageous - with proficiency in
    both front-end and back-end development.

  • Web development for corporate applications experience is essential.

  • Proven experience using C#, Power BI, and SQL.

  • Preference will be given to applicants with professional certifications and working knowledge of Python or Julia
    programming languages.

  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving experience relevant to the role with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets.

  • Strong experience in integrating back-end systems with third-party vendor products through APIs.

  • Proven experience working with a collaborative and agile team, leveraging issue tracking, source control,
    and CI/CD workflows, with full traceability between requirements and code.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with modelers,
    underwriters, and cross-functional teams.

Compliance Manager - (Permanent appointment) 

 

On behalf of my Client I invite interest for this newly created Bermuda based position. Reporting to the Head of Compliance based in Hong Kong this position will ensure their new entity is in compliance with all relevant Bermuda laws, regulations, and guidance notes. Key responsibilities include monitoring relevant regulatory and legislative changes, updating policies and procedures accordingly and briefing management on implications. Maintaining, developing, and regularly updating relevant compliance manuals, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.


The successful candidate will have:

  • A University degree coupled with professional compliance certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-
    Money Laundering Specialist), or equivalent.

  • Extensive relevant experience gained from working in a senior level compliance position ideally within a health
    and/or life insurance company.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Bermuda AML/ATF regulations, FATCA, CRS, PIPA, and BMA regulatory
    expectations/requirements.

  • Prior experience working as a Money Laundering Reporting Officer or deputy MLRO would be advantageous.

  • An exceptional work ethic with the proven ability to demonstrate initiative and meet deadlines.

  • Proven interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.

System Administrator - (Permanent office-based appointment) 

 

On behalf of my client we invite interest for this office based Bermuda role of System Administrator - reporting to the Managing Director. This role is ideal for a mid to senior level professional with a strong foundation in systems administration, a working knowledge of networking, and a hands-on approach to technical support.

You'll be responsible for managing internal IT infrastructure, overseeing depot repairs, handling support tickets, and providing on-site technical assistance to clients.


Key duties will include:

  • Administering and maintaining Windows servers, virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure).

  • Monitoring and managing internal ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of issues.

  • Providing technical support to end users and clients, both remotely and on-site.

  • Performing depot-level hardware diagnostics, repairs, and RMA coordination.

  • Supporting and implementing client data backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Acronis, Datto), ensuring data integrity and recovery readiness.

  • Deploying and maintaining virtual PBX systems including call routing, SIP trunking, and endpoint provisioning.

  • Assisting with network troubleshooting and configuration (e.g., firewalls, switches, VPNs).

  • Maintaining system documentation, asset inventory, and standard operating procedures.

  • Collaborating with vendors and service providers for escalated support and procurement.

  • Participating in IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

  • Ensuring compliance with security policies, data protection standards, and best practices.

The preferred candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience in system administration or IT support.

  • Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365.

  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

  • Experience effectively managing a ticketing system (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, ConnectWise).

  • Hands-on experience with backup systems and an understanding of how virtual PBX platforms work

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and customer service mindset.
